Research as a source of innovation

STRATEGIC ORIENTATIONS

Innovation does not happen by chance. It needs vision, leadership and a clear chart showing the way. Innovating means creating new solutions. But to do this, each case needs to be looked at in the proper light.

Innovation arises when possibilities for evolution combine with breakthroughs in research to meet current market needs. This is the role of the Technical Strategic Plan, which plots DCNS’ overall technical orientations in the medium and long term, then distributes them throughout all the Group’s departments and services.

A GROUP BUILT ON KNOWLEDGE COMMUNITIES

4pers_plan_mur_7866DCNS’s technical wealth is based on two fundamental elements which allow it to capitalise on its in-house competencies. The first: 80 fields of technical expertise. This includes 240 experts whose work is recognised the world over. The second concerns 50 areas of activity that cover all DCNS’ programmes and services. Each maintains its own technical reference system.
