Power propulsion System : BEST
BEST is the reference hybrid propulsion system which combines the power of e mechanical booster with the flexibility of electrical propulsion.
Presentation
BEST is composed of the following equipement:
- 2 shaftlines equipped with fixed pitch propellers
– 2 thrust blocks
– 1 electrical motor on each shaftline
– 4 diesel generators providing with the electric power necessary for the propulsion electric motors and the board
– 1 single gas tubrine clutching on 2 shaftlines through a cross-connected gearbox
– option : 1 swivelling and retractable bow thruster
